UNSENT LETTER 31

This letter is my pat on the back and motivation to keep going:

Starting is scary. Starting is very scary.

Exhibit A: I have had a staring contest with the word start on the empty page for the last one hour. A whole hour! I know what I want to write, I just don’t know how to start ergo the staring contest.

Exhibit B: I get so nervous to leave the house, but once I am out the shower and finally summon the will to get out, I have to admit, I have had a alot of amazing days outside home.

Sometimes all we need to do is find the courage to take that one scary step. I have had moments that I have felt insecure about writing, I have had half baked ideas, there are times when the end seemed like such a dream. Once I took the bold step, once I started, the wheel started turning.

This is day 20 of the 30 day writing challenge, I was not sure I would be able to write this much, let alone write everyday. A friend of mine asked me today what was the one simple thing I have wanted to do but I haven’t got the chance to, I proudly said, I have been playing truth or dare with life's activities and picking dares has become standard procedure. The only way to live the kind of life you want is to start, start small and keep going.

START

/stɑːt/

verb

begin or be reckoned from a particular point in time or space.

P.S; There is no place in that definition that said you have a specific day to start. You can do that one thing you’ve always wanted to do today, you just have to be bold enough to start!

Love and Light✨
