ON BEING A KID
UNSENT LETTER 33
Here’s to when we were kids:
I used to think I could do anything and be anyone. That was before I grew up and learnt bits and pieces of how the world works. I admire the innocence of a child. How they believe in superheroes. How they believe in adults and how they believe in “when I grow up, I will be this or that”. I want to have the hope of a child, the belief of a child. I want to look up the sky some day and not think about how things are bleak but about how someday, when I grow older I’ll be dancing in my kitchen baking cookies and brewing some strong black tea.
